Assignment on AirAsia and Malaysia Airlines

Well, lets cancel all the links and shares what I had actually learnt from this assignment
Basically is to share each other resources

Air Asia- Management resources
MAS - Airport services or utilities

Other than that, totally nothing as can see MAS is more benefit for what they got
But, Air Asia will get lot of benefits from here too in terms of lowering their cost.

Of course, when people talking about service MAS is always better than Air Asia, that's is why Air Asia ticket is so cheap compare to MAS air tickets.

That is why, there is one thing very important although they are same industry but they are from different segment. Air Asia concentrate on lower income individuals which give them lot of better offer, whereas MAS go for people who has high income which make all these different.




Therefore, they can be say monopolize their own market segment in Malaysia. Therefore, their only competition is all the overseas airlines, so living in a competitive world is better for both of them to create more competitive advantage to themselves.

But, base on my opinion for people who want to choose where to invest between these 2 companies, I still will suggest to invest in Air Asia as they really showing some growth if u had done all those analysis, whereas for MAS is still not the time yet due to their lately performance and also their past report.

Well, different people got different opinion because MAS is government support company so it wont wind up. To the certain of extent is true. Still come back to investment theory which is depends on individual investment appetite.

Outing on 24th of September

Woah...long time didn't went out like a spree

Early in the morning accompany my girl and met up our friends can catch up a movie

at first we planned to watch Contagion

but we doesn't make it and changed our plan to watch Fright Night

well it's was a very nice movie

it's about a story of a boy, where a vampire live beside his house

a lot of nice scene really recommended to watch

After the movie met up with other friends the we had our lunch at

SUSHI ZANMAI

my favorite

had a really long chat there

then after all this end my first session

and faster go back home rest and sleep prepare for second one

second one is a gathering organized by my friend at OVERTIME

really is a nice want having beer with all the friends

but seriously I can't drink the beer one shot feel very full

after the gathering come back home

prepare to rest

BUT

my dear fellow housemate straight bring me to somewhere in CHOW KIT

to have their supper or should I use the words our supper

really full eat very less

after that come back home again go to Cyber Cafe to play some games

tiring....

today sleep sleep sleep.....

really long time didn't went out for so long

Sem Break Activities

Well...tomorrow is the day my college re-open

and everyone have to go back to continue their studies

but for me...

I have to go to other uni to compete with others college or university students

in a competition called Deloitte Tax Challenge 2011

is a second round which is semi-final

kinda nervous now

if I stay calm it will be alright..

Anyway during this sem-break, I packed all my competition to fully utilized it

Joining as much competition I can

and now not bad I really make it or should I say complete 2 competition out of 3 and tomorrow is the last

another few more days will be another competition organized by OSK about how to invest,

really nice joining this every year

Outing with my seniors

Today is a very nice day for outing because it's weekend

then my senior planned to meet up

after that we went mid valley for our lunch

after that we went to the gardens

to drink some green tea drink

well after this we went to KLCC for book fair

I really bought lot of books

instead of showing books I will show you guys this

after the book fair we went to Cheras to have our very nice dinner

Unfortunately I cant get to take the picture of the dishes

we ate fish meat, meat ball, taufu and vegetables

after that we went to yum cha

My 21st Birthday

26th of July 2011 is my 21st birthday

really got lot of surprise from my friends and family

especially my lovely girlfriend

well...guess what early in the morning both my roommate wake me up

first is my friend who email me about my company

and the other roommate treat me to eat 3 burgers...

SUPER FULL and cause me insomia

and just sleep for 4 hours today

after that have to fetch my girl

and lot of surprises she gave me

she got a birthday card which signed by my family members especially my daddy

I was like OMG?!

but anyway so much big surprises coming that she gave me a box which content a tortoise toy and her photo...

then she gave me a big things cover by lot of layers of newspaper and took me long time to open up my present and is a Fossil wallet...

really like it very much....she did lot of things for me....so touching

after that we went to college and for classes

and met one of my best friends Yik Heng so happy met him and wish me hehe

Then after waiting my girl and start our outing

first we go to Wong Kok Restaurant

after hanging there a couple of time a taking picture

and rest awhile she brought to Times to enjoy the cakes

really nice..although the first bite taste weird but after that taste really nice...

and after that we plan to go Michealangelo restaurant to have our dinner due to the fullnest of our stomach

we plan to walk around and after awhile I decide to go back KLCC to have Subway as our dinner

really fall in love to Subway

and really nice...after dinner then we just go back home

really happy I got a special 21st birthday

although no special celebration but I really appreciate for what my girl did for me

she always make me so happy and so comfort when she with me

About my country Malaysia

When I was born in this country

I always thought Malaysia won't be like other country having war

but looks like I was wrong until today

I watch the video with my own eyes

Citizens just want to get the right to speak

and when the government don't listen to them

they start protest, our government mentioned, that they allowed protest

but then after that he said in Malaysia we got something call pilihan raya

which for citizens for vote therefore protest is illegal

isn't it sound weird...

as a citizen of Malaysia for 20++ years

I totally hope I can live in this country happily

but looks what happen today

I really worry

that I really have to move out from my own country

I just wan be a peaceful country

as peaceful as possible

imagine all those days

all Malaysian no matter any races

we playing footballs, live in a camp site all together

I miss it really

but what's happen now

discrimination, all about politics issue came out

what happen to Malaysia

what ever it will be

seriously just hope

please all people and citizens in Malaysia

please give me back a peaceful Malaysia

I want like those days everyone live happily

sharing, caring, understand each other

if not some conflicts means we can sit down and talk until its fair

Why everytime we have to quarrel with each other about small little thing

i sent u messages, it didn't sent out

simple as that I didn't check

who knows it didn't sent out

and you didn't sent me twice to say that I didn't reply

just phone you first sentence is complaint

97-98 Financial Crisis Malaysia

Well seriously long time didn't post this kind of thing

but this is the thing I really wan to make clear

During this 97-98 financial crisis

is due to foreign currency

whereby a lot of speculator which from foreign country borrow/ speculates money to Malaysia in the overnight market and because too much of them, the overnight rate shoots up from 8%-40%,

This led to rating downgrades and a general sell off on the stock and currency markets.(Wikipedia)

Bases on the theory of economies, if everyone sell of means increase in supply and which also cause the price or the value of the share decrease, and this cause the KLCI drop by 50% around 600, and currency traded at $1=RM4.57

which made a very big impact

and caused Malaysia in their recession period

then our formal Prime Minister set back the currency at RM3.8 to a dollar

to reduce risk of exchange risk

stop foreign market exchange with Malaysia

instead of that MAS can buy back more its own money

and foreign country will buy less or trade less with Malaysia

The Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee dealt with corporate loans. Danaharta discounted and bought bad loans from banks to facilitate orderly asset realization. Danamodalrecapitalized banks.

Although he is just my friend

but I will named him as my teacher

Recently, we just quarrel with each other

just a small matter but we keep quarrel

first topic talking about Manage Risk & Reward

got two level

Operation & management level

Operational level consist cost which lean & mean, quality (Total Quality Management(TQM))

speed (Just in Time(JIT))

Management level consist smart which is deep insight of the information, agile and aligned which the speaker said must be together which is making fast decision and adapt to changes(agile) and extended enterprise which need to align with everybody else (aligned) that is why this two components need to stick together

1) Stakeholder-information in market and customer

2) Market-portfolio increase profit, diversify to decrease the risk

3) Business model-Leverage technology

4&5) Rolling & Annual Budget for operational and also finance. Timing is to use the fastest time to identify the fastest the better. These are the factor which use for planning and financial planning.

6)Operation problem

AirAsia story

1) Competition got innovation which can also increase their productivity and help the company growing.

2) Looking at the statement, people will give opinion and feedback back to the company.

10 opinion from customer and company will try to implement and fulfill their requirement and will help the company growing in the future too.

And there is some participant stress out some point saying that

Company should FOCUS MORE ON COSTING, MANAGING AND IMPLEMENTING THE PRODUCT AND SERVICES AND LEARN FROM EXPERIENCE AND NOT JUST BASED ON ACCOUNTING STANDARD although we are accountant.

Technology-Technology is a very important issue which we are living in a technology era and we can use technology to improve the product and services by providing faster output to customer.

Forensic Accounting and Investigation was the second session

INVESTIGATION the problem which arise and the evidence to gather to detect fraud

FRAUD-normally will cause fraud because of PRESSURE, OPPORTUNITY AND RATIONALIZATION

CFO-need to analyze financial nature of financial statement and detect fraud or error and think of the damage may incurred. (ENRON case)

PRESSURE- financial performance cannot reach the expected KPI and inherent pressure

Normally those who understand system, understand internal Control and understand documentation that is why Segregation of duties is important for every organisation

3 important criteria are CORRUPTION, MISAPPROPRIATION AND FRAUDULENT STATEMENT.

I went to a seminar yesterday

I just knew about these two bodies

AKPK and PIDM

which are really a useful and needy company that

we should own in our country

AKPK is a body to provide counselling and advice their customer on paying their loans

PIDM is a company which will secured our savings in a bank when the bank going to wind up

so,

which I think is a very needy company in our country

and they are actually government bodies

sometimes which makes me think that

government are trying to help us

but we just don't aware of it

that actually there are such bodies in our country

Today my time table out

this semester for 5 subjects

although time table still acceptable

but stress growing

Secondary School Homecoming

In a sunny Tuesday afternoon

I went back to my secondary school to have my visit

then when I reach there saw my Maths Teacher

Investor Attitude

I read a lot of books related to investment

but when come to buying stock

the feeling of fear really will come in

of course we need to be really certain what we want

if we want to make a proper investment first we must invest in a good company

which have a growth in the future

first I understand is using calculating P/E not over 10

really need to analyze lot of thing

base on a simple annual report

we need to analyze cash flow of company

how the company manage risk

how the company using their cash

and their growing such like revenue, sale and their expansion

APPETITE

personal investment is different

different people got different appetite

for myself of course I want a very safety investment

such like earning dividend

I always say these to always mentioned to myself

an investment is an investment

you want your money to work for you

no losing your money

don't simply speculate( speculate with certain amount)

make sure what you want have your own direction

have your own decision

and manage your portfolio properly

most importantly not overconfidence

no people can control an efficient market

just need to be sure what you want

Life in Wisma Genting

Life in Wisma Genting really let me learn lot of thing

on the first day go in here

know a new friend named Chin

after that know senior named Tenny

and lot, lot, lot more friends which is all senior

and they really treat us very good and taught us lot of thing

the most I remember is the way of people communicating with each other

and how's people reaction

when some attitude problem of someone

and really lot of thing

after that I have been assigned to a department GUSS

senior really taught me lot of things about accounts

about complaint by customer

and teach lot of things to me

although I made lot of mistake

but they really taught me how to correct it

and taught me more detail

and came in a new Executive of mine named Poh Li

but we often call her SAE

and she is the one taught me about statutory account

just learn lot from there

about consistency and detail on every single line of the accounts

after this came into team work

really lot of nice and good memory

just appreciate so much and store in my mind

due to tiring of these few days

although tomorrow is the last day of my training period and end of my contract

Well 3 months times really pass very fast

today is the 2nd last week I work in Genting

I realized lot of things today

I changed my point of view

Raining Day

After working whole day,

working on statutory account

and some amendments

then have dinner with my girl

after that when is the time coming back home

suddenly rain very heavily

by the time I reach my place

there is a very long queue of people queuing for taxi

and luckily there is a lot of taxi coming by

and I get in the taxi

and got back home safely

just got myself some wet

Tiring

As these few days really in sickness condition

and

feeling eat all the medicine make myself more tired

but my friend said anitibiotic medicine won't be tiring

is I think too much

it might be

after awhile I found that after some time pass after I took the medicine

it going ok

maybe I really thinking too much

just be happy and wait to recover

so working today learning lot things which is new to me

and just master some of the task that I did before

I slowly recovered from my sick

really need to get well as fast as possible

so far everything around still considered OK

as everyone realized market going down recently

Fall sick

I really start to fall sick yesterday night

after that this morning wake up really blur and can't sleep well

but I still went to work as usual

reach there

all my senior said my face very"chan"

or look not feeling well

so that advice me to go back

but I refuse

then went for a doctor

and she said that my body just over heat...

nothing much

but my headache really pain

she say just normal reaction from the body

then she gave me some medicine

and went back to home

Well today is the day where my senior left her current job

as working in Genting Malaysia

and she going to join another company soon

she is really a very kind and friendly senior

really good to met her and be as part of her friend

really happy when caring each other

Well why I named this title

Seriously not to believe

I walked up and down in my office to finish each of the task

going down to bank and up to find some other departments senior to sign something

and up to other department to take my slips

and walk up and down just to sent up and pass up each form

really tiring

thats why it is a travelling working day

Well for working today

I learn lot new stuff

about how a company issue a reminder

to their customer

as the first time doing it

and really hard to got the way for it be done

but after several time questioning my senior and understand it

find it really easy

every single letter got a flow to be followed

and it really fast after understanding it

and after coming back

friend called out and went for a discussion and tea time

well really enjoy about sharing with each other

and when my friend ask about my future

I can't really sure said it out

is not I not sure

is because I lack of self confident

Today just went to ATIC seminar

and will be going there tomorrow also

as it is a two days program

Today is April Fool

guess lot of people making fun and jokes on their friends

for me

today working day just to recheck all the stat

to make sure they are correct

and I really learnt how to check properly

my senior taught me every single thing

why we need to check properly and precisely

and is really important

thanks to all my senior I learnt a lot

Today the last day of March

every single department rushing to close their own accounts

and I'm very busy to pick up all the payment

and from every single corner to clear all the payment

after that doing statutory

really rushing

Previous day I made a big mistake

for mine is simple just to match with what in cash flow

This Saturday I went to a seminars

talking about option and property investments

actually in US stocks, when u buy shares you also can sell option which like renting out your shares

is like gaining money from both ways

after that back to the property investment

I dun really got interest in but I learnt also

as if you really wan invest in a property

first very sure is the location and to get a good tenant

to earn more money

after all these

went to BBQ plaza with my friends enjoying our dinner

and after listen to all the seminars

we went to Chilis to have our dinner after met my girl

A person 30 years experience as an Investor

I just finished read this book

and is time to share with all people that came to view my page

this books talking about an experience of he himself in the life as an investor

and before he know about the share market he was a speculator which just to get a shortcut way to earn more money but after get some profit and loss more of his money

he realize that as an investor is to use his money to invest in a good company which will give him more returns than he advised the people around him and friends to be a good investor and not to speculate too much in the share market

Starting of this, he mentioned lot about the history of the market

about the Tulip story in Holland which got overvalued as bubble, and after that the price of tulip depreciate lot until lot of people making losses

and lot more

after that start the real topic

as an investor you are investing in a company

that's why you need to understand more about the company that you need to invest

First you need to understand what is the business your company doing

Secondly Is there any future hope and growth in the company

Third Is the top management of the company reliable?

Fourth Is the company financial statement stable?

as a starter normally encourage investor to invest in a blue chips company which is a very stable company although is high price but at least you get the return as the dividend will be given out to their shareholders

other than that

he mentioned about how a share is overvalued or undervalued

is better for investor to invest in a share with a P/E(Price/Earnings ratio) lower than 10

which is a better one and not overvalued which got a higher growth chances

P/E = 5 is same to say that we will get our 5 times return in 5 years

for example a market share is RM3 and the EPS is RM0.3 and which got the P/E as 10

which also mean in this 10 years our P/E is 10.

Lower the P/E faster the return

that is why buy lower P/E will get more growing chances

there is others way to value

which is Dividend yield, Net Tangible Assets/ Share).

Besides he mentioned we needs books to improved our knowledge and skill

to understand more about a company

we need to read books which is the company Annual Report

and in an Annual Report

must take note on company Financial Highlight

how the director's manage the company and the experience in managing the company

the reliability of the top management really important too

and also the notes of the financial statement which explained everything of the company financial statement

need to understand the P/E ratio, Net tangible assets per share, dividend yield, times covered profit over share price and the other is the current ration which is current assets and current liabilities which also the higher the better means the assets can cover the liabilities

which the cash own and other people owe you, can cover the cash that you owe to other people

How to choose a company to invest in?

most importantly, is the company have a bright future and to understand it well

and the company had gained profits over the 5 years time and have the high chances of growing in the future

3 most important rules in as an investor

1) must not loss your money, you earn the money with your hard work, and let the money work for you to gained more money so make sure not too lose it, that is why invest in a good company is very important.

2)make sure the company have a future growing opportunity

3)Dividend given out to shareholders every year

Choosing a good company is very important

another topic talking about diversification which minimize your investment portfolio risk

which investing in many different industries sectors company

if one industries showing down side effect the other will help you to cover the losses

and that is why Long Term Investment is far more better than Short Term investment which need to take higher risk

another is buy low sell high

which mentioned by him is buy during the bear market which everyone going to sell of all their share

and sell during bull market which everybody buying share at high price

inverse relationship

when people buy you sell

when people sell you buy

and is better to invest in long term as the risk in much more lower than short term investment

short term-less than 1 year

medium term-more than one year but less than 3 years

long term-more than 3 years

there are also some really important rules if you borrow money to invest

just make sure don't take such action only invest with the money you have

if really have to

make sure the company you invest is really strong

and not to hesitate to cut losses if really not good as expected

is better not to borrow money to invest as in not encourage such action unless you really have high confidence in the share you invested in

and he also taught some of his formulae

which is contrarian, growth and time

which doing the different things as others, like mentioned before when people buy you sell, when people sell you buy, vice versa, inverse relationship

and the company share that you invest must have the chances of growth

and is the time to determine all these

and other part just talking about the advantages and the benefits of invest in long term

all I share here is just the knowledge I learnt from this book and share with others

about the knowledge and the sharing the experience of an investor

Senior's Birthday

Today is my seniors birthday

and just bought some small cakes to celebrate with her

and enjoy the whole celebration

although today I just got myself screwed due to clearing the wrong account

but is ok

and now just enjoying myself at home

Today morning

Today wake up late

and had breakfast with my girl which travel so far to meet me

haven't fix it

As I posted before I read a book titled The Secret

and just to share some of the topics that said inside

firstly they talk about the law of attraction

as how you attract the things you needs to appear and show up in front of you

you have to think the thing that you want and not the one you don't

and ask yourself, believe that you get all the things you want feel it and finally receive it

other than this

Gratitude is very important

say thank you for each day you wake up

and say thank you as an exercise

and be grateful for anything happen around you

don't always think of what people have but you don't

think of what you have and people don't

love yourself to know better of yourself

and think about money that always check in your mailbox not keep thinking about billing in your mailbox

Everyone Japan had a great disaster which is 8.9 earthquake

and I read lot of others opinion and view through lot of their pictures

I found that Japanese is really discipline

who can imagine a country after earthquake also cleaner than my country

and the road still so flat and better than my country

I'm not critics my own country

I just felt amazed on their work

how discipline are they, how steady they are

feel there is lot of things we have to learn from them

they really calm and face all the obstacles

they face the earthquake calmly

the Japanese spirit and the way they work really amazed

Well seems nothing to do now better share out something

The books that I read recently

all of them are self improvement books

first is about how to strengthen your memory

by having a basic list as reference such as 1=t so 2=n

so when u need to remember your friends house address No.12 which can think of the word "tin"

which imagine your friend house got lot of tin

use such method to relate and imagine to the things you want to remember

2nd want is about a person experience in investing in stock market

so just share with the readers a lot bout his experience about investment

as a beginner better buy blue chips stock

as more advance

try to learn more by analyze the company history and future plan

then grow bigger analyse the industry and the market

these are the two books I read recently

Saturday Outing

This Saturday can't get to meet my girl

although she having her OT

cause my friend just invite me to accompany him went to Matta fair 2011

really crowded and lot of people gathered here

to get a special offer on their travel package in the future time

well is a nice experience

just the place really very crowded make me feel so uncomfortable

after that just went to bought my friend's birthday gift

then we depart to his party

well during his party really nice

enjoy lot in BBQ the chicken wings and some sausages and also fish balls

really nice and good experience

next time will make it for my girl

Today is the day where I really disappointed to myself

didn't get things done well

and complete

lot of mistake I did yesterday

and know I shouldn't complain

but I did

and when I'm going my girl office

we on the bus and the bus pass by an U-turn

i nearly fell down just now

really "fish"

and during the LRT station

can't pass through the platform due to the card error

for me really a "fish day"

Today working mood totally blur

keep on need my senior tell me twice I only can understand

although just a simple thing as reminder letter and some refund letter

cause today I'm doing picking up payment

after that go for a talk

Today was a really a tiring working day

first I don't have my own place to sit

then have to do all those cheque things

then follow my senior up and down

and learn how to bank in cheque also

in between did some mistakes

and heard by my senior call me to learn never trust any friend in working place

but I just listen about it

put here and there

take out here and put some where else

some sort thing like that

after work then go meet up my girl

Along the way going back home

I realize lot of thing

actually we should appreciate lot of things each day

each hour, each minutes and each seconds

appreciate everything that you have

appreciate people around you

appreciate what you got

appreciate what you gain

I just finish read a book titled "A Complaint Free World"

mentioned that we shouldn't complain

but to think it with a positive way

that is why we should be appreciate

what we gain and what we face in order enable us to grow further

11th Day of Working Day

Today is the day that I feel tension at work

Although is the same thing and process

but I'm scare doing thing wrongly and bring trouble to my senior

that is why I'm scare

but of course I have to overcome it

so far I can handle it

by doing things slowly and understand each of them

and I made it

perhaps everything just back to the basic understanding

face each challenges

so what I did today is just some clearing customer accounts

and finding customer account number and write it on their cheque

what different today was I can handle customer call and answering them

happy about that

need to improve again

since there is some questions

I can't handle also

just have to face it and learn it

19th February 2011

This day is a lovely Saturday

wake up at 11 a.m.

then prepare myself go to meet my girlfriend

as she has to work on Saturday to finish her job which need to pass up on Monday

so prepare and meet her up and we went to Mid Valley Megamall

went to Mid Valley to have Sushi in Sushi Zanmai as our lunch

really enjoy the food in there

really nice and cheaper than other Sushi restaurant

highly recommended

after lunch we went for a walk

then had our dessert in Baskin Robbin
